Our trainers include the following: |

Stella Styllis LLB (Hons) (Exon), Solicitor (now non-practising),
University of Cambridge CELTA
Managing director of Axia Training Stella practised as
a commercial solicitor for over 20 years, both in-house and in
private practice, before devoting her time fully to training. She held legal positions with the Cyprus Development Bank, Amoco
U.K. Limited and (for 10 years) the Rank Group (a multinational
leisure group and then global owner of the Hard Rock Cafe). She
subsequently also ran her own private practice.
For some years, Stella been delivering legal skills
and language training to English solicitors and to non-native
speaking lawyers from major international law firms and companies.
She also delivers business skills and language training to business
people from the UK and all over the world.

Alan Simmons
LLB (Hons in Law
and French),
LLM (International Human Rights), RSA CTEFLA
Alan trained as a
solicitor at Linklaters & Paines. He subsequently practised as a
commercial solicitor at the firms of
Merriman White and Izod Evans,
advising on (among other things) Company, Commercial, Construction,
Employment and Intellectual Property Law. After then gaining
his LLM, he
trained
lawyers and judges in Central and Eastern Europe on the European
Convention on Human Rights, and represented people in cases before the European Commission and Court of Human Rights.
Alan has been
engaged for many
years
in delivering legal English skills and language training to lawyers
worldwide. |

Jeremy Keys BA, Solicitor (now
non-practising), Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Teaching
English as a Foreign Language
Jeremy
worked as a solicitor for 14 years, having begun his legal career
with the internationally renowned business law firm, Lawrence
Graham. For well over a decade, he has also been a
trainer of legal and business English to practising lawyers and
business people from leading companies around the world.
Jeremy's career has
extended to teaching law to students of the law degrees of
Manchester University and of East London University. He has also
been a personal assistant to a leading expert on international contract
law. In the latter role, with responsibility for writing all her lectures and tutorials,
and setting and marking exams. |

Jane Riley
BSc. ACA Chartered Accountant
Jane is a Gestalt trained
freelance tutor and business coach. She has 16 years' experience
in learning and development, 15 of which were spent in the
in-house team at PricewaterhouseCoopers (where she was a senior
manager). She is a business writing specialist and has written
four books used internationally at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jane's early career was spent as an accountant with Coopers &
Lybrand working with their audit practice clients.

Cameron Stewart
BA (Hons) Cameron has been providing development training and coaching in
presentation, teamwork and other interpersonal skills for the last
16 years. He has combined this with his acting career, appearing
on TV, in West End and national theatre productions and on the
radio.
Cameron is a qualified NLP practitioner and a founder member of
the Professional Speakers Association. He has personally trained
executives from major companies including Shell, Marconi, Ericsson, AMEC, Gulf Air,
Capita, the British Film Commission, Robson Rhodes, De La Rue and
Temple.
